Description
A hearty blend of ground beef, savory veggies, and a crispy tater tot topping makes this casserole a family favorite. It’s easy to prepare and packed with flavor!
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
- 1 can (15 oz) corn, drained
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package (32 oz) frozen tater tots
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion becomes translucent.
4. Season the beef mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, green beans, and corn until well combined. Remove from heat.
6. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the beef mixture evenly.
7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
8. Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
10. Remove from the oven and let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
You can substitute the cream of mushroom soup with cream of chicken or cheddar soup if preferred.
For a spicier version, add a dash of chili powder or a can of diced green chilies.
Ensure the tater tots are not overlapping to achieve maximum crispiness.
Feel free to experiment by adding other vegetables like peas or carrots to the filling.
