- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack cheese
- ¼ cup diced pickled jalapeños (or fresh if preferred)
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine chicken, cream cheese, cheddar, Monterey Jack, jalapeños, and spices. Mix until well blended.
- Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 6 equal rectangles.
- Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of the filling onto one half of each rectangle, leaving space around the edges.
- Fold over the dough, forming a pocket. Press edges with a fork to seal.
- Brush the tops with egg wash and cut a small slit on top for steam.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden and puffed.
- Cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm.
