Description

This Good Gravy Crock Pot Chicken Noodles recipe is comfort food at its best! Tender shredded chicken, creamy mushroom-based gravy, and hearty egg noodles come together in one slow cooker meal that’s savory, satisfying, and full of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

3 lbs boneless, skinless chicken

1 (10.75 oz) can golden mushroom soup

1 (10.75 oz) can cream of mushroom soup

1 oz ranch dip mix

1 oz brown gravy mix packet

4 cups chicken broth

Pepper Jack Cheese (about 5 slices, or to taste)

1 (24 oz) bag Reames Frozen Egg Noodles (still frozen, not thawed)

Instructions

1. Place your chicken in a 6-quart slow cooker.

2. Pour the golden mushroom soup and cream of mushroom soup over the chicken.

3. Sprinkle the ranch dip mix and brown gravy mix over the soups.

4. Use a portion of the chicken broth to rinse out the soup cans and pour that along with the remaining broth into the slow cooker.

5. Cover the chicken with slices of pepper jack cheese, using more or fewer slices depending on how thick and spicy you want the gravy.

6. Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, stirring once halfway through cooking.

7. Remove the chicken and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the crock pot and stir into the cooking juices.

8. Add the frozen egg noodles and stir to combine.

9. Cover and cook for an additional 30–45 minutes on high, or until the noodles are cooked to your preferred texture.

10. Serve hot and enjoy this comforting classic!

Notes

The more pepper jack cheese you use, the thicker and spicier the gravy will become.

Use low-sodium broth and soups if you’re watching your salt intake.

Do not thaw the frozen noodles before adding; they hold up better when cooked from frozen.

All slow cookers cook differently, so check doneness and adjust timing as needed.

Feel free to top with chopped parsley or cracked pepper before serving.
